Why Alti Equipment?

We decided to develop hyperbaric chambers as they were a good idea that was forgotten about. Left behind decades ago when outdoor fabric and technology was still in its infancy. Fast forward to now and almost all other outdoor products have come a long way, generally weighing a fraction of what their ancestors did back in the 80’s.

Their weight and bulk made transportation problematic, meaning it was also unlikely there would be one handy at the time of need.

Today, carrying a 1kg hyperbaric chamber in your duffel or day pack is a very feasible proposition, it also makes it very possible to carry on the mountain or anywhere - which means, it will be where it is needed, when it is needed.

For guides and small teams in remote areas or larger expeditions that want an alternative resource to bottled o2 that can be used indefinitely, the Alti Chamber will be a welcome resource for any expedition at altitude.

Alti equipment was born from the desire to make things that will make a difference. Founder Matthew Scholes has teamed up with experienced high altitude mountaineers from around the world. We source the best materials and manufacturers to create cutting edge products.

Our first product is an ultra light hyperbaric chamber. We hope to make high altitude recovery available to everyone everywhere by creating something that's light, compact and affordable so there is no reason not to have one on your expedition.
